I am concerned about the fuel tank.Did u have any problems?
I have purchased one and plan on using heavy duty Velcro to secure the box - no screws as gas tank comes into play

My tank is not under the seat. I had considered the heavy duty Velcro method as others have used it. I did line the center storage box with shelf liner paper to minimize rattle and protect the contents from bouncing around

I got the factory one from carol at c and o marine the slots to install are already under the carpet. Doesn't have the drink holder though
I have had this unit in my Triton and am extremely well satisfied with it. I used 2" Velcro strips to secure it and never had an issue with it. Very sturdy unit.
You can tilt up the cover and install from the bottom.

I got the center storage unit from Bass Cat boats and mounted with screws. No problem and it's a nice unit. I think it was around $100 bucks.

Not sure about an 06 201xl but on my 1995 201xl the fuel tanks are located directly under the seats... Stratos protected the fuel tanks by covering them with a large carpet covered aluminum plate and mounted a bench seat that was fastened into the fiberglass on the gunnels. Last season I replaced my stock bench seat with 2 individual bucket style seats... I removed the aluminum plate and found that directly under the seats Stratos had installed a support channel running the width (across) of the aluminum plate. With the plate removed I marked, from the topside, where the holes needed to be for the new seat installation. I drilled from the top through the plate and support channel... Then used a hole saw and put a hole through just the support channel large enough for the bolt head and washer to go through. After installing the new seats and tightening the bolts the bolt heads and washers were flush against the aluminum plate and protected from touching the fuel tanks by the support channel. I'll be pulling the plate off in the next few weeks to, likewise, install a center consul. If pics would be helpful I can send you a few... Good luck!
