    Oil ratio

I recently purchased a boat with a 225 hp 2.5 ProMax SS. It does not have a separate oil tank, previous owner manually added oil ( Premium Plus synthetic 2 cycle) to it.
First time he told me 50:1 ratio, then later said 40:1 ratio, but he didn't sound confident.

    What is the correct ratio?
Unfortunately, I don't have the serial number readily available as the boat is stored elsewhere.
    Thanks

If you plan on running it over 6000 rpm I would go 40:1 and stay with the premium plus.

    Thanks Matt.
If you or anyone else have any pointers / tidbits on this motor, would like to hear it from the forum.
