    Capital One Credit Card

Credit One has been sending us applications via snail mail and email. Aren't they the same crew that does BPS and Cabela's "Club" cards? The ones that everybody (pretty much) is unhappy with?

I can also apply for an Ameriprise credit card that gives 1.25% back, but they call it "points" and it sounds like that eventually turns into cash at some point, which makes me happier than "Club" points at BPS or Cabela's. I wish they'd just call them $ and put them into my account every month, reducing the bill by that 1.25%. Is that too simple to hope for?

My Bank of America card has 3% back on gas, 2% on groceries and 1% on all others. You can apply cash back once $25 is built up.

I just got a capital one “spark” business card for office. Unlimited 1.5% cash back with no annual fees. Looking forward to putting it to good use.

To the best of my knowledge, citi doesn’t offer a business card like that.

Have Citi through Costco. 4%, 3%, 2% and 1% back depending what is purchased.
Used to have Am. Ex. but Citi has stepped up in their services.

Had a Cabela's Visa. Capital One took over. Card got hacked, Capital One caught it very quickly. Then here is where Capital one lost a customer.
Was told it would take a week to get a new card, this didn't happen.
Called 3 times about my new card, was miss informed not once, not twice but three times that my new card was in the mail.
Was sent a survey and responded with exact dates and names of what happened and how they failed, never received a response.
More than a month later my replacement card shows up.
Capital One will NOT be in my wallet.

Citi has been great so far and you get actual money back to buy what ever instead of getting locked into Cabela's having to pay taxes on your purchases, well at least for me now.

From the looks of it, 4% on gas up to 7,000 a year.... 1% on anything else you buy unless its from Costco or if its travel related

I have the cabalas card and loved it, then capital one took over. Sent a new card and it was hacked. Sent another card and I noticed that it went from a Visa to MasterCard. Not happy about that because that was my card that I used at Costco. Then I got a call from tackle warehouse telling me that they have a hold on my account. Call capital one and they told me that their fraud department thought it was a fraudulent charge and took the money from tackle warehouse. Then it happened with 2 other places I shop online. I stopped calling after 10 calls to their fraud department trying to get them to pay tackle warehouse so I could order stuff for the black friday sale. I ended up eating the charge to reactivate my account with tackle warehouse. I'm done with them, I'll keep the card in the desk and not use it.

Credit one and capital one are two separate companies. Credit one advertises very similar to capital one I’m assuming to make people think it’s actually capital one.

They only send me a bill once a month, and I pay it. Why would you pay your CC bill every 2 weeks? Just don't see a reason for it. Please 'splain…

Cash is king in BBC world, but cash doesn’t give me $750 back when I pay my insurance bill

Don't need no bill, I know exactly how much I have put on it, and when I get paid, I pay it off. No risk of something going 30 days and accruing interest.

Pay it online, takes about 15 seconds to do.

Also pay all my other bills within the 1st week/7 days of the month...so most of the month I got no bills due.
