Lowrance Elite Ti2 & HDS Live - Advice needed

New to the fish finder world and would like the user groups advice...

New Triton TRX18 and looking to install two new fish finders, 1 console and 1 for the bow. Looking at the Lowrance HDS Live 12” for the bow w/trolling motor transducer and the Elite Ti2 9” w/transom transducer for the console to save a few bucks.

My questions are:1) Can you network the Elite Ti2 with an HDS Live unit?
2) Should I consider reversing the setup, HDS Live on the console & Ti2 on the bow, If yes why?
3) Would you stick to the same model units, both Ti2 or both HDS Live?


Would like the forums opinion on the above setups and what you would do differently along with any lessons learned when installing Lowrance units on a new model Triton.
