They have article in Daily Comet today We have people complaining, with all the rain we’ve been getting, about potholes in the parking lot,” Breaux said. “We dumped $4,000 worth of limestone down over the Christmas break, and you can already see the weather washing that away. For us to fix something like that permanently, we want to make sure we’re there for the next 10 or 20 years

Limestone does nothing but crush on itself and make a huge mess when it’s wet. Better option would be RAP (recycled asphalt) from an asphalt contractor that they mill off of asphalt roads. Spread it like limestone and it will compact with normal traffic, fewer potholes, and won’t leave your parking lot looking like the surface of the moon with a bunch of craters.

Couple hundred yards past the island. Run at an angle off the bank almost to the middle

There is a line that crosses just inside the mouth but the middle is open pretty wide. These are pretty deep as well. As long as you are dead center at the opening to Wallace, you should be good. There are also a line of pilings to the right side as you go to the back not far past the island. I always pass to the left side of the island and then hold center as much as possible. I believe you can see the pilings on Google Earth.
