    12” raymarine in dash question

Have a 210 elite with a 12” raymarine in the dash...I can’t use the tilt steering, (it must be all the way down) and can’t make a full turn without skinned knuckles.. anybody know of a remedy... try putting a boat on the trailer in current with limited steering

I had one last year, not sure the mount used, but no issue!!
Maybe try tilling it down a bit to give more room!
Cant remember but my arms might have been cut down an inch.

Here is a photo with the steering wheel trimmed all the way down. It hits my knuckles as it is, and if I can’t trim it Up from the lowest position as it contacts the unit.

Try Bass Boat Techs steering wheel spacer...

I know it says Ranger but I'd think they'd work... Give them a call... Dan

Try tilting it forward to give more room or you might have to shorten the mount a bit or go with another style mount.

I like Dan's suggestion, or putting some type of spacer between the graphs bracket and the mount to raise the whole graph vertically?

My wife "slings" but never invites me. Something about not enough chairs or some place to get comfortable, I don't remember for sure.

Here Are the pics of how the RayMarine es127 is mounted on Hickory Legends old boat.

The first picture showing distance from steering wheel is with the wheel in the middle position. In the full up position the wheel touches the display.

    Hope this helps!

Other than adding a spacer to the steering wheel there’s not much of a option. They need to put the 797 consoles in the 210 so it can hold a 12-16 flush mounted .

I had the very first 210 off the line (second hand) and 100% agree the console needs a bit of an update. I too had the exact same problem, plus I absolutely HATE the steering wheel covering up the bottom of the graph, as thats where most of the zoom buttons are on a Raymarine touch screen.

I'll do my best to explain how I fixed it. It actually worked like a charm and there was no more touching the touchscreen of the ES128 or banging my fingers. I've sold the boat so I can't take pictures, but basically I used a factory trunnion mount turned vertical, with the base towards the bottom, exactly like the one that is mounted on the Bass Boat Tech mount in the picture above. I took a piece of 1/4' x 2 inch wide flat steel and bent it into an L. Stainless would obviously work better, but steel is all I had so I painted it flat black and never had an issue. I then drilled the holes in the metal "L" bracket that matched the bottom of the trunnion mount in the back of the bracket, so I could bolt it into the dash like the Raymarine trunnion mount was bolted previously.

I'm not sure how far the Bass Boat Tech mounts actually stick out away from the dash, but if you have a little room to play between the back of the unit and the dash, making two simple L brackets moves the units back against the dash and up a couple inches so everything clears. It also only took me about an hour start to finish and literally costs pennies. I hope this makes sense, Its kinda hard to explain without a picture. After looking at your picture, some sort of spacer that would raise your unit up a couple inches would completely free it from being behind the steering wheel. Feel Free to Pm me if you want my number and I'll be happy to answer any questions.
