    I make a similar keeper for my jigs. But, I tie mine on with thread and then slip the skirt over-top of it.

    OR buy a 90 cent larger O-ring...
    slice it with a single edge razor blade into maybe 1/5 inch thick circles...
    pull one over the hook barb and snug to the plastic...
    bingo, the best cheapest fastest plastic bait holder to a hook, ever....

    can add 1/5 drop of glue and allow 10 minutes to dry if you like...

    BTW, use a colored 4 inch e-tie, never ever stock rubber band weak stuff...buy a pack of 4 inch ties of various colors...
    keep in mind Roland said many many years ago he had red on all his baits because "big fish like it".....
