    Jack plates on 195

I had a talk with an installer guy at a BP (the big one in Memphis TN).
I said... "So I hear that if I put a jack plate on my new 195 I'm going to order, it will void my warranty on the transom."
He said... "Not if its installed by a dealer. We do it all the time."
He told me if "I did"... it would.

What do you guy's know and hear?
    Would I even need one?

    Thanks.

I called Tracker. Was told if it’s not a factory available option when ordering, installation “may” void warranty.

I would want it in writing for any future issues. For me wouldnt have any of these rigs without a 6” jp it makes a difference.

    I have a question.
Does having a jack plate move weight farther to the rear, causing the bow to sit higher on the water not moving? Or is it even noticeable?
Also... Are the benefits worth it? ie performance, handling, speed?

    Thanks for your response.
