    Awesome job!
Went through the same with my 365.
Think long and hard before cutting for the pedal recess.
I thought about it for years and kept putting it off.
Few years ago I replaced my Minnkota AT with a Terrova.
With it's much lower profile pedal and the fact that I use the remote as much or more than I use the pedal, I am soo glad I did not cut the deck.
Most of the time I have my pedal laying on the bow between the trolling motor and bow light, up off the deck and out of the way.
It really opens up the floor space, along with adding a seat post hole to my deck extension, it makes a 17'10" boat fish like the front of a 21' boat.

    Got a lot done today.

Cut the hole front deck for the recessed trolling motor. Wow..what a lot of foam. Tons of it...2 trash bags full...crazy...

I used this hole to access the end of the rod locker...it took a lot of digging, but I finally got to it. Once I reached it, I used a 2" hole saw kit to initiate the first cut...and then was able to enlarge the hole a little better from there.

Measuring and center to make cut for recessed TM tray

    all of the foam

    End of the rod locker

A look at the end of the rod locker from underneath the deck

7'10" rod in the locker with a few inches left to spare

TM not installed, but just a preview of what it should look like

    Deck coming together

    Almost done with the deck

Looking good! Get rid of that foam! Rangers can float with pieces cut out all over the place! I know it’s true cause I saw it on TV! Plus you have to offset the weight of the extended deck, you’ll thank me later

Yoire right at the spot where you get to put her back together, awesome! Looks great.

Things are starting to really come together on the project; I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I started today on phase 2 of the lids

Then got to work cutting the carpet for the deck

    Carpeting the cockpit

    Back deck

Here is where I left off tonight, should be able to finish her up tomorrow...maybe get to fishing on Christmas day.

All in all...it was more work than I anticipated...even after reading all of the threads...watching the videos...I knew it would be tons of work...but man, it really was. I was hoping to be done on Sunday. Yeah right...even the reassembly took all day, lol. I am glad it's done...I am glad for the experience, and the satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment is real with this one

I saw in a thread somewhere someone said it took them about 60 hours of labor. I tried to calculate about how much time I spent on it, and it was pretty close to that same amount.

Thanks everyone for their input and feedback

Looks Awesome Walter! Can’t wait til you get her back in the water fishing! That has to be a great feeling of accomplishment! Plus I bet someone makes a comment on how new she looks inside your first gas station stop

I was fortunate enough to christen the new carpet yesterday with the slime of a nice little ol' bass.

Looks great but did you seal the wood you made the deck extension out of ?

I sealed the frame, but decided against sealing the plywood. It is CDX and my thinking was by the time the carpet wears out - it will be time to replace the wood again whether you seal it or not. Mainly because of the screw holes being worn out.

Looks good. Was planning on replacing carpet this winter but may not get around to it. But whenever I do replace the carpet I may have to dig out more foam when the trolling tray is off and try and extend the end of the locker also. Would really like to get the handful of rods on have over 7' in there and be interested to see if I could get my new 7'10" in there after it is drilled out.

It makes a world of a difference for me not having the 4 or 5 rods that were over 7' always on my deck.

You know that front deck is full of foam, right? Once you cut the TM hole you will see it. Hogging it out to get a longer rod in there will be a bitch. You will have to hog some out from the TM tray hole. A crow bar will be your new friend. And if that's a live well up there you'll have to cut into that to get the tray in.

Yes sir...you are right on all accounts...

    Full of foam....

Getting all foam out was a bitch...

Crow bar was definitely my friend (best tool for the job!)...

Dry storage up front...no live well...but I did have to cut into it.

It was a lot of work...but it was all worth it
