Please need the newest info for sliding mounts for my soon to be delivered ulterra !!

What new info is there for one under 150.00.
I've seen the ShuttleSlide SS-12-15 and the R & R Design on line but there are few reviews on them.

I'm using the MKA-51 with my ulterra and terrova and very pleased but a bit more than the $150(200).

I am using the R&R Design plate with the Xi5. I really like it. I tried the Minnkota and the motor guide plate prior to the R&R. It is quality made, and simple to use. Just pull the spring loaded pin, and slide the plate until it automatically locks.

I use the Liftsaver mount and am very happy. It's rock solid. I have an Ulterra on it.

With an Ulterra I'd opt for a mount that lifts off vs slides. If the TM lifting belt breaks or malfunctions you won't be able the retract the TM to slide it back. You'd have to disassemble the TM. Maybe the newer Ulterras are better made than the older ones. I'm looking at getting an Ulterra next year and will be looking for a lift-off design. Running a Terrova now with an older MKA-47. Since my boat is stored outside I take the Terrova off after every trip.

I was told by Mindy at R&R that their sliding plate does not work with the XI5. I'm glad to here that it does. Did you have to do any alterations to get it to work?

I have the MinnKota MK-51 for the same reason twh57 stated. But it also slides forward and back 6 inches making it more tarp friendly.
