    Moving a tandem trailer easily

What is a good way to move a tandem trailer around? I have my boat coming in a short time, my shop is plenty big but I like the boat to be in the corner away from my truck and the kids toys. So, I back in and then move the boat to the corner, my last boat was a single axle so it was simple. It would be nice to just slide it somehow sideways. Go jacks or something similar work? I, myself will be moving the boat around.

Go jacks would be my choice. I have to adjust my tandem axle Sabre trailer in the garage, and I use the cheap Harbor Freight units on the front tires. I am betting the Go Jacks are considerably smoother and roll better. Two pairs, and you could square dance with your boat...

Go Jacks sound like what you need. Why didn't you order the pop axle? It would have been perfect for you.

I use two Go-Jacks under the front axle, then use a Trailer Valet to move it anywhere I want...the Go Jacks remove any resistance to turning.

Crank your front jack all the way up. Takes weight off the front tire

Yup. I do it every time I angle my boat in the garage by hand.

Pop axle was only available on the leaf-spring trailers. It essentially allowed you to "pin" the front axle in the up position, which made your tandem trailer temporarily a single-axle (front tires off the ground). The current torsion-axle setup does not allow this option.

From what you describe Go Jaks. I had them for my Cougar, once you get all that weight rolling you can move it anywhere you want it. It takes some oomph to get it going on the initial push, but I could literally move it sideways.

I do this but prefer the jack as low as it goes, I don't like how wobbly it gets when way up, plus less chance of dropping the trailer on my feet
