*Need Ideas* Bench-Top Fishing Rod Holder

    All,

I need some fresh ideas as I am out of them! What I am looking for is some type of holder/rack for my workbench that can hold a fishing rod while I do
off-season maintenance such as cleaning and respooling. Mudhole.com has some options that are designed for making a rod but too expensive for what I am trying to accomplish. I simply want to place the rod in some type of holder while I clean the guides and then respool. Any ideas or pictures would be great appreciated!!!

    Thank You and Merry Christmas!!

When I built rods I built a wrapping stand consisting of a 1x12 laying flat with 1x4 uprights with a V cut in the uprights. Used felt in the V.

There ya go, hold the rod locked in with one wrap velcro. Works and about as cheap as you can get
