I just bought a 198 p with a 23 tempest and 150 merc 4 stroke. It has a 4 inch atlas hydronic jack plate. Where is a good starting place with the jackplate? Prop to pad measurement or I have the ruler on the jackplate. Thanks again

I start out with the jackplate at around 2 inches on the ruler.
i read where some guys are running like 4 inches on the ruler................... just looking for whats working best on this set up then i can tweak it
