    Lobina Ricos

School me on Lobina Rico lures. I’ve never seen one but I’ve noticed anytime they go on sale they’re instantly completely sold out in every color. Why so desirable?

Lobinos rico is going to be a bait that will have some say they are over priced and overrated. These are the few who do not know how to properly use them. These baits pop walk chug you name it. When this bait imo shines is working it quickly. Bass will destroy these poppers

If you want the best you have to pay for it. They walk extremely well. I’ve found a few runner ups that work good but not to their level.

You should know that in bee tending if you don't shut your trap the bees will get out.

I was digging through my box yesterday and found an old lure that looked similar. It was called a Heddon Lucky 13.

When they first came here to basspro in Vaughan they were 2.99. I bought 5 and now all gone, went to buy more saw the price and walked away.

They are great, but I like Yellow Magic better. Just my opinion.

Yes... There is a "rico" and the larger "rio rico". I prefer the rio rico personally.

They are very good topwater baits...bottom line. If fish are there...they will bite. It's all in the tap...a finesse tap to get the right tone...

    Wishin' I was fishin'...

How does the Rico compare size wise to the Xcalibur Zell Pop xz2? (That's the smaller 1/4 oz version) Since they stopped making them I've been looking for something the same size but every popper I try has a bigger profile, and the fish really seem to prefer the smaller profile bait most days where I fish.

There are two sizes of Rico’s . Rico’s which are smaller like the Zell Pop and a larger Rio Rico .Both are really good. The Rio Rico seems to be slightly more popular. Both have their place and time.

Better than a Gunfish? I can make the Gunfish dance without moving very much. Gunfish also pops and splashes if you want it to.
