    Ultrex Stabilizer Extension??

Does minn Kota make an extension for the stabilizer arm on Ultrex? I have mine maxed out and I’m m about 1-1.5” from being tight. A 2-3” extension would be perfect. I’ve looked and can’t find one.

Did yours just get cut short ? Had to cut 8 inches or so off of mine so it would fit. Gawd that sounded bad

The stabilizer bar is hollow. The hole is perfect size for tapping. Tap about an 1 inch of thread and put in big head bolt to correct length.
Are you sure it was not just cut off to short....if it was just get a new one? Mine must have been 15-16 inches long before cutting.

Bought the Ultrex from a friend of friend. Never thought the stabilizer might have been cut. How long are they from factory?

Just took rubber knob off and it’s been cut. Wow a new one is $40-45.

If you have to spend money for a new one, consider the TH Marine Trol Tamer. More money, but a much better device. No movement at all with it.

You've just purchased a $2000.+ trolling motor from a friend of a friend. I suggest spending the money and get the correct part instead of "jury rigging" the part you have.

Not sure what kind of boat you have but you can move the arm to the other side and have it rest on the top cap if that's something your comfortable with. Then you may have to cut the one you have to fit perfect.
