That’s not what I’m asking a straight up DI unit doesn’t have the capability to do SI only a SI unit can do both. My question is totally different.

If I’m understanding you correctly and you’re keeping the SI unit hooked to the existing transducer then you can just network the two units and share the transducer information between the two.

Can share all sonar and imaging by connecting both units with ethernet connection. Any G2N model can view information from another G2N model that can create it. That source must have a transducer connected and be capable of processing/creating the information to be shared or viewed by any networked capable model. There would be no benefit to physically connect a MEGA SI transducer to a MEGA DI model.
