Hello. I'm hoping someone could weigh in and give me a hand with something. I had an '89 184DC with an '88 Yamaha Pro V 150 on it. The boat was pretty torn up but the motor was great. I found a '95 190DC without a motor in much better condition. I sold the 89 but kept the motor and installed it on the 95. The 89 ran around 59-60 on the GPS w/out a jack plate. The 95 has a 6 inch jack plate but is only topping out around 55-57 by myself and 50 with two guys and gas/gear. Both boats the engine RPM's top out around 5800'ish give or take WOT. I'm curious if perhaps the prop isn't ideal anymore since the boats are quite different and now there is a jack plate? The prop says 25m. If I'm getting the RPM's would the prop be perhaps a method of picking back up the lost MPH? I know that boat will hold a 200HP but that's not in the cards financially right now. Thanks a ton!
