    Prop Question on '95 190

Hello. I'm hoping someone could weigh in and give me a hand with something. I had an '89 184DC with an '88 Yamaha Pro V 150 on it. The boat was pretty torn up but the motor was great. I found a '95 190DC without a motor in much better condition. I sold the 89 but kept the motor and installed it on the 95. The 89 ran around 59-60 on the GPS w/out a jack plate. The 95 has a 6 inch jack plate but is only topping out around 55-57 by myself and 50 with two guys and gas/gear. Both boats the engine RPM's top out around 5800'ish give or take WOT. I'm curious if perhaps the prop isn't ideal anymore since the boats are quite different and now there is a jack plate? The prop says 25m. If I'm getting the RPM's would the prop be perhaps a method of picking back up the lost MPH? I know that boat will hold a 200HP but that's not in the cards financially right now. Thanks a ton!

23M or 25 M Yamaha. If the prop you're running now has never been tuned up send to Mark Croxin and that should get you in the mid 50s loaded ready to fish. And you can always take the engine to Hydro Tec In Nixia Missouri and have them add a phase kit. It'll turn you 150 into a 200.

also have to take into account the differences in the 184 vs the 190 quite a bit of boat there for a 150

I have a 1993 190 with an 150 HP Evinrude Intruder. 55-58 MPH consistently. Had it up to 62 solo with light load/gas on perfect wind and weather day. Running a 24P Raker. I know the Raker is not the prop for the yammi, but you should try the props Matt mentioned.

That motor begs for a stage kit.
