Not on my bucket list, just go get some Carolina reapers.
When I hear Wasabi I think about Mater in the movie Cars thinking it was pistachio ice cream lol
Can’t have it near me! I like “spicy” but I’m almkst allergic to horseradish and I swear I get the same response from the wasabi in sushi joints! Not No but Heck No!

I have, maybe 20 years ago..the guys wife who ran the skeet range here made some for our banquet. She had the root sent from a family member? She mixed it up in a coffee cup,and turned it upside down..used toothpics to put it on her homemade eggrolls..very good!
I have ate in plenty of times in Japan 1st time I thought I was going to die. It will sure clean the nose out. I had been use to the stuff in the sates.
It is very similar to fresh ground horse radish. Grow some horse radish, grind it, and try it fresh on a slice of roast. It is a lot different than the stuff that you purchase a the grocery.

Of all the things I think about, Wasabi (until now, at least) has never entered by mind. BUT...now that I know how rare it is, I'll add it.

Yes, Mother in Law is Japanese. I like the Ginger she brings back, Not as much a fan of Wasabi. She told me " Very Special, Soooooo good". There some stuff she eats, not as much a fan of, some is real good.
Never tried the real stuff. I can't stand Wasabi and I eat sushi couple times a week.

Don't worry Ma'am....
I'm only here for the Bass.
I can't eat horseradish or very much mustard. So, let's just say "Depends". As in, "Take your Depends with you when you go out to eat some real Wasabi!"
The $100 stuff better be 100 times better than the $4.00 stuff
