Thumbs Up Tilt Tube bushing project 2004 250XS

    Serial Number: 0T819119
    Model# 192847GCH

I've been working on tightening up the motor and have already replaced the hydraulic steering cylinder.

I've eliminated side to side play, but I still have too much vertical play in my motor and its originating from the tilt tube.

If I am going to replace tilt tube bushing part # 821207 on both sides of the bracket, is there anything else I should consider replacing at the same time? Perhaps bushing part # 818764 as well?
Do I need a cherry picker to replace these bushings? I have the merc lift eye already.

I want this thing to be rock solid for next year!

Check your trim tilt pin bushings, they tend to get hammered out. If not it is your steering tube bushings
and to replace you have to pull gear case, powerhead and motor mounts.

I'm unsure what you're referring to. I think I need to replace part #7 in this pic:

I can't find any bushings in the Tilt/Trim exploded diagram?

That is it, have to pull trim sender on the port side.
