    Soft Tackle storage ideas needed

I am a new Phoenix owner. I am looking for some ideas to store soft plastics. I have a Phx 921XXP, 2018. I will be using the first center front deck storage area for my boxes, and planned on using the second front deck storage area for plastics. Was hoping to see what some of you may have found works well for soft plastic storage. Thanks in advance.

I use the back passenger side box. I mainly use 3700s for everything but I have some gallon zip locks for bulk worms and a couple other things. I like to keep all that weight towards the back

Gallon zip lock bags. One for each type of plastic bait.

I keep all of mine in the original package and store them in tubs (3) that fit in the back passenger compartment. I also keep most all of my terminal tackle in that compartment. The soft baits are heavier than my hard baits and help balance the weight in the boat when I'm by myself. 3700 boxes in the front deck compartment. I'll post a pic for you later.

Welcome to the Phamily and Congrats on your boat

Ive tried a lot of different ways for soft plastic storage and my most recent system is my favorite. I bought rectangle plastic containers about shoebox size but a bit skinnier, available at any big box store. I leave my plastics in their packages and just put them in the box standing up front to back, then I can quickly go through them card catalog style (you young guys might not know what a card catalog is haha). Its quick and easy, and when a bag gets low I grab another to replace it and just throw the 2-3 remaining baits into the new bag.

On the Phoenix's this works really well cause they can go on the shelf on either side of the center compartments.

What ever type of storage you decide to go with its best to keep the bulk plastics in the rear storage and the rest in the larger center front storage, that front box on the 921 would be better for lighter tackle, or rain gear, life jackets. they are very weight sensitive to weight in the very front, this only applies to speed, if that isn't a concern load it down with what ever fits the best.

    I use these, https://www.amazon.com/Sterilite-175...ntainers&psc=1

I line them along the side of the main tackle compartment, where the shelves and the plastic strap is. I then put a bunch in the back two compartments. Your bags of plastic will fit perfectly lined across standing upright in the container. You can fit like 25 packs in each. They have to be the 6 qt though.

Most of my plastics are in the rear. All of them are in 3700's, some still in the package, some loose. I am all over the place! But it works for me, I can find what I need, sometimes even on the lake!

Like others said, load heavy in the rear, my 721 likes it a lot better.

I carry these in front center hatch and write on the top with a sharpie what's inside.
Different colors for different plastics. Plastics bags fit perfectly inside of these.

I use the gallon zip locks as well. I also don’t carry a years supply of each plastic with me - I don’t understand why so many do this. If you have a reasonable amount of plastics the storage in the front or back of the boat isn’t nearly as big a deal.

I do the same. Works great for the amount I carry.
