    Trailer Tire Size 215/75 R14 VS 205/75 R14

I busted a leaf spring on my marine master trailer causing the fender to rub the sidewall of one tires which caused that tire to bulge. I swapped it out with the spare (new tire) and stopped by discount tire to get it changed to a GY Endurance (going to GY for all four soon). I have had good luck with the Carlisle HD 215/75/14 but time for a change. The clerk takes my tire in and says "oh, we'll put on a 205/75/14. It won't make that much difference". Something about 1/4" as wide as the 275. Didn't seem like a big deal so I paid the man and left with the tire 20 minutes later.

How big of a deal is it?
Should I go back with the original size that came on the trailer?

205mm tread width as opposed to 215mm tread width. I doubt the overall diameter is more than 1/8th -3/16ths different, but personally I would want all 4 matching.

    Thanks for the links.
Agree for sure about the same size for all. Seems the 205 is 1.82” less in circumference than the 215. Width isn’t a biggie. The 205 looks smaller next to my current 215s.
I’m going to have them change the spare out to the original size along with the other 4. I can tell the difference. Just needed a spare. Not to bright traveling without a spare for a tandem trailer.
