Angry Please help stop FWC from spraying Florida Lakes, its criminal

This meeting is mentioned in an article about a petition against herbicidal spraying, and in the article it states people "can email comments if not able to attend, to Commissioners@MyFWC.com".

Might be worth the effort to at least send the mail if you can't attend.

FWC has ruined nearly every lake in Florida by decimating all vegetation. Please take 5 minutes and send an email. Lake Okeechobee, Istapoga , Kissimmee, all the way to the St Johns has been turned into a mud hole. Its sick what the FWC has put on their agenda.

There’s also a petition on page 1 of the Lounge to stop the spraying. Every little bit helps!

Louisiana has spent about $500k a year for the last 10 or 15 years on Lake Bistineau for Giant Salvinia. Hasn't really helped. The only help is harsh winters and high water to flush the lake. They also sprayed one of the trophy lakes back in the 90's. (Politics) They killed the vegetation. The big bass stopped as well. Look at the top weights La and you'll see Caney Lake holds 7 of the top 10. The last one was 1995.

SC DNR did the same thing back in the late 90's to Santee and it has never recovered. You can sit at the keyboard pounding away all you want and it's a wasted effort.

Folks have to attend the meetings and be able to talk intelligently about why not to spray and have backup documentation to support it.

Sorry about what is happening to the lakes in FL. These are some money hungry evil MF. They think spraying tons of chems in the water is just fine. Hell look up, they spray the sky with poison everyday! I live in Alabama and Alabama power sprays the native willow/coosa river grass in Lay Lake and it makes no sense. TVA spays Lake Guntersville and they ruined Lake Wheeler. All of yall need to find a lawyer or Environmental lawyer and file a class action lawsuit against FWC and the contractors. The chemicals will give you cancer, it kills fish, it causes algae blooms. Many cases like this have been settled. 3M which has a factory on the TN river/Wheeler lake was dumping all kinds of chems in the water and people were getting sick and coming down with cancer. A suit was filled against 3M. All of you need to act now. Meetings and talking to these people will do nothing! They are just doing this to pacify you.

This is the only way, Legal Action. Sometimes you must fight the good fight no matter how hard. FYI you also need to contact the White House and the President

I think this is happening on the Tennessee River chain in East Tennessee as well.

There is one I know of that they started spraying this year that the fishing has really declined on it since it was sprayed.
