1993 Ranger 492v forward compartment storage

The forward storage compartment is the shape of the hull it is a v. Does anybody make an insert that can turn this into a flat surface? this would be much better for storing plano boxes.

Are you talking about the cooler closest to the bow? I would think you would have to cut a piece of wood and carpet it or something since it's a smooth white plastic inside.

I think that you have to make one yourself. I have a 487 and have the same type storage in the front and have seen some pictures through the years of people making it flat with wood. I have always wanted to do this but never have taken the time to figure it out yet. Maybe someone here has done it and can post some pics.

Simple piece of shelving material held in with silicone. Not fancy but works for me.IMG_20160623_151628619_HDR.jpgIMG_20160623_151754156.jpg

My R93 front storage is the same way. I went and got a couple plastic cutting boards and cut them to fit, cheap easy way to get a flat floor

I placed soft material into the V area. Could be rain gear, extra soft plastics baits, spare clothing, soft tool bag, extra life vests, towels until a reasonable flat surface is attained. Then place the plano boxed on top of this.
