As stated, I have a 99 Johnson 150 that is the regular and not the fast strike.
Motor runs great, starts great, etc. but I have some questions.
First is, once I get it home...every single time, it leaks fuel from the carbs and it drains into the bottom of the cowel and down the back of the lower unit. It's nothing terrible but enough that I notice it. It takes quit a few pumps on the bulb to seemingly refill the bowls when I go back out the next time.
The only hiccup I've ever had with the motor is if I'm running wot and hit a wake that upsets the boat bad, it has thrown a solid warning beep. I set the boat down, shut it off and restart it with no issue.
Otherwise the boat runs perfect. Should I get the carbs rebuilt....buy new bowls as I've heard these warp over time...or what? Thanks ahead of time!
