    New Ultrex and winter techniques

I scored a new Ultrex! Marry Christmas to me. So I couldn’t help myself as I had Saturday off. Hooked the boat up and headed south to Sand Hollow. Maybe 10 boats in the parking lot. Put the boat in the water and headed to a quite spot and programmed the Ultrex. Wow! Going from a Maxxum to the Ultrex was a shock. After I calmed down I decided to go fish a spot and see anyone was home in 48 degree water. It took a minute to find the winter bait of choice ( chartreuse Ned Head with California craw TRD) I started catching a few then I pitched out my old reliable Zman micro jig with the hula stick trailer and caught this fatty. Funny how these fish don’t pull in the cold water. They come up like rock cod.
