Flip the little black o ring on the lid. If it’s on wrong the lid will not seal good and try to pop back up.

Rtic. Had mine for 4 years and it still works as new. Do NOT use dry ice or everything will be frozen solid as a good friend found out. And so far drain plug doesn't leak like my buddies Yeti does. Cj

It is the bottles with screw on lids
A mistake on your part does not constitute a emergency on my part.

If you just need to keep meat on ice for a couple days this ^ cooler would do an awesome job. If you want a REALLY good cooler get a Pelican. They were making coolers way before the Yeti craze and lots and lots of other roto molded stuff.

I use these all the time. Go on a week long fishing trip and it Keeps ice and steaks frozen for 3-4 days. I have two. Use one like a fridge which I’m in and out of more often and one like a freezer which I’m only in as little as possible. I also freeze stuff I’ll use later in the week. Of course if you’re in your cooler a lot throughout the day doesn’t matter which one you have you’re ice will melt.
Kids standing with the lid open contemplating what they want out melts ice. My kids know all about cooler managemant!

The gaskets on these are worthless.
