    Choppo Vs Whopper Plopper

What is your thoughts on the Whopper Plopper and the Choppo. What bait do you like better? Here is a video I did on what I thought was different.

I would use the one that weighed the most, they break the skim ice better.

Whichever one makes that plop plop plop sound at different speeds, every WP I've had has to be ran at specific speed to make the right sound.

I fished both these baits this year. Both catch fish. Choppo tail is harder plastic and more aggressive, louder and throws more water.

I love the whopper plopper. But after fishing the Choppo more. It don’t take much to get it to start spinning. Also the sound is much deeper at a slower rate of speed. But to say it’s a cheap knock off. I will say it’s about built the same. The only thing I see that’s cheap is the hooks. But the whopper plopper comes with crap hooks also.

The stocks hooks on my plopped are super sticky and extra stout. That was the first thing I noticed when I took it out was how good the hooks were. Lol

Yeah I get it to an extent. What kind of tubes do you use? Plastic worms? Square bill crankbaits? I think you get the picture. This has been going on forever and fishing lures isn’t even the tip of the iceberg b

Then you'd have to find the northern guy from around the 1960s, or perhaps earlier, who made these style of torpedo shapes with the plopper tail that were made for musky originally.

I love the whopper plopper. Don’t know the other. Even when fishing is tough , I can catch a limit. The hooks are tough and SUPER sharp.

The original Whopper Ploppers had cheaper hooks, they changed them for a better model on later production.
