If I was worried about speed I would have left my rods at home, picked up boat racing and bought a cigar boat.

I'm more concerned about what the bass are doing under the water than with you "blowing" by me at 77 mph when I'm doing 73 mph (I normally cruise at the blistering speed of 30-35 mph 99% of the time anyway)..........

What is the proper Ranger terminology for the wheels on that rig? My 2009 Intracoastal wheels are in need of replacement or recoating and I like the looks of those.
And yes the 4.6L Pro XS V8 is a great upgrade from the 2 stroke. Having repowered my rig I have a actual direct comparison for the two engines on the same boat. Not having to feed that thing DFI oil is the biggest plus!!!

What pitch prop is on it? I'm rigging this same boat right now thinking the 24 fury should be good.

Not sure...I neglected to look at the prop..my apologies, I can try to find out for you. It was a 3 blade.

The Z521L that I have came from ranger with a 23 Fury 3. If you are propping your current boat a 24 fury 3 would be a good place to start. The L boat is 4mph slower than the 2010 Z521 I had that ran a 25 Fury 3 and that boat was one of the better running Z521's My L boat will run a 24 in the winter but is a bit slower than the23.

Got the prop info...23 fury...we had it to 65 MPH @ 6100 RPM full gas, two guys, and full tackle. He never tweaked the jackplate trying to get more speed. I didn't even realize he had made an upper end run as I was hunched up in the passenger seat with my head covered. It was cold!

yup ill be interested in the speed also when conditions are favorable..since the 2018 521L was very slow compared to the 521C..so I've been told the were changing the rear end of the 521L for 19...see if it makes a difference.. nice boat by the way!
