Ultrex on Bass Tracker 170 Pro (2017

    Hi guys,

I am thinking to replace my current trolling motor for an Ultrex 80lb BT 24V 52".

    1. Should I replace with the 52" ultrex or 45"?
    2. My main concern is the weight of the trolling motor in comparison with the Edge. How could it affect to the welds on my boat . Could anyone share with my their experience with an Ultrex mounted on a Bass Tracker?

Thanks a lot for your help!

I have one on a PT 170 TX. I replaced a Motor Guide Tour 24V.
I have the 45" with LINK. The shaft is plenty long.

Hardest part is mounting it securely on a Tracker. Some of the Trackers have limited access under the front to be able to put a nut on the underside. May have to use something like a "toggler", which works well. Also, if the Tracker has a recess, measure and make sure the footpedal works.

Don’t forget RivNuts if you have access problems. Can’t speak for the length.
