Solo fishing out of a tandem?

I was all set to purchase the new 2019 Outback until I looked harder at the new 19 Hobie Compass Duo.
It is missing some of the nice additions that the OB has but it has a few unique positives.
    Cons:
Seat - not as nice as OB and no height adjustments.
    lacking dual steering
does not come with reverse or turbo fins(can be worked out with dealer though$$$)
    Pros:
More Open deck space especially if front seat is removed
Transducer cavity under front seat - making vertical fishing with sonar much easier
Can take a 2nd person at times - wife, friend, kids, etc..
An inch wider than OB, 8” longer than OB

i did an extended demo on it last Sunday in solo mode. It did seem slower than an Outback but overall it moved well and the limited fishing I did went off w/o any hitches.

I realize this particular model is new so not many will have opinions on the Duo, but anybody have any relatable feedback from Fishing other tandem brands in solo mode?

I've fished out of tandems solo, but they were paddle only and more work than a solo.

With pedal power I would definitely do it.
