    mercury outboard id

    I bought a mercury engine. it is a v6 long block. the number in the freeze plug is a139450. can you id this engine by this number? thanks for any help. I found these numbers on the block 858-834g

    The number on the freeze plug is the engine serial number and can be identified by it. Hopefully one of the pros here will ID your engine for you.
