Pics are pretty but how and what units?

Looked at the post on THT.....looks as though it only for coastal areas.....IMO most people on here don't do the coast......wish they would allow custom aerial mappings like Lowrance does.....

    I don't have a clue about this.

There was also a post there about Standard Mapping now Garmin compatible.
    https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/c452...c15360-p1.html

Don't know what to make of that either.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

Standard mapping is not new.....they also have paper maps......i know for sure that they are compatible for Lowrance....a lot of the guys down here in South Louisiana use the aerial mapping to run around in the marsh and such being there are basically no mapping since the water ways changes due to hurricanes/floodings/silting, etc.....so if you run Garmin around coastal areas this can be good, but us fresh water guys, it dont do anything for us.

Can you specify the coordinates of the lake where you fish? I will give you an example for the plotter garmin and Homeport. I need to understand that this is exactly what you need.

I apologize for my English, I learned German at school.

This is on complex i fish and its not just a single lake but a whole complex of lakes and bayous:

    31.367841°
    -92.036204°

Here is another lake if fish:

    31.540602°
    -93.762147°

I have these same areas for my Lowrance which was done with SAS and Insight Map Creator so bascially that's what i was thinking about. I'm not to concerned about using it with Homeport, just in my Echomap Plus 93 unit IF it can be done.

Ok, what is the trick to seeing it on the unit???? The file you have on your Google drive was placed on a SD card but what are the next steps to view it on the unit???

Did you put it in the Garmin folder?
in the map settings you need to enable it. there is a menu Earth, 100%. there is not difficult.
I don't have an echo at hand today, but if it doesn't work out, I will try to make you screenshots with settings.

Well, tried what you said above by placing in Garmin folder and nothing showed up. Also did not see any options in the menus to change mapping options........

I shot you two videos. With 721xs and echomap+. You can see the settings in the menu that you want to enable. Visible is a homemade reefmaster map and QD map of my lake.
BUT! Ehomap+ after 3 months turns off the homemade cards. To use them, you need to do a full reset of echomap+. Ehomap Chirp will always work with maps.
Today, the echomap+ turned off all my homemade cards))). I will have to do a full reset to use them.
The device needs a little time to load the cards, remember this.
