2019 Tracker Pro Team 190 TX

Can the middle seat be removed from the 2019 Tracker Pro Team 190 TX and will it look like you removed it or will there just be carpet there?

Specs show storage under that seat.

Not entirely sure on that model but would imagine that you would be able to see where it was screwed in at. Should be carpeted under though. Why do you want it removed?

Don't like a middle seat.

On mine I did not like the middle fold down seat ( did not seem stable walking to the back ). I removed the folding part so it is just the bottom cushion that still folds up to access the storage underneath.

You can fab up a piece of wood and carpet it to go over the storage area in place of the seat. I've been meaning to do just that with mine since I agree it's not a good design. My dad will probably go with me a lot more when he retires in a few years and I need to take care of that junky middle seat before he ends up falling.

You can remove it but there will be a square hole there where the storage is. You can fabricate something easily like others have suggested. I have thought about doing something to mine but I sometimes fish 3 in the boat so I keep the seat in.

My buddy had an '86 Stratos 179v that he put two new seats in and left the middle seat out. I rode in the middle with my back and butt on fiberglass several times and never once thought a seat would have made the ride better. If anything the extra back support from not having a seat made the ride better. The only time I think having a middle seat is better than no seat at all is then the back comes up as high as the other two. I know Champion did it. Not sure about all the others as most of the rigs I've seen have a VERY low back for the middle seat.

I'm keeping the middle seat on my 190 but I occasionally fish with three in the boat. If that weren't the case I would replace it with something like a panel made of thick (3/4"+) starboard covered with a rubber surface to provide traction as a step to the stern. I would use a piano hinge to keep it accessible.
