what prop 200 SHO on zx200

I just bought a new 2018 SHO 200hp for my 2002 ZX00. (I ran a 25", 3 blade on my 200hp ox-66 before). I think most guys are running a 25" SHO prop on this boat/motor combination, yes/no? Is anyone running a 4 blade? and if so, what kind and pitch? Pse and thanks for any input...

    23T1 for that combo. 4 blade wise a 24p Bravo, or 21p Razor 4XL.

Thanks for input...The 25" 3 blade on 0x-66 ran about 69mph at 5800rpm, light load. Will the 23T1 or 21" 4blade be around the same?

Pitch will really be determined on which prop you get. I mistyped my first response. That should be a 24p Bravo. Each prop runs a bit different wise RPM so its best to discuss which brand then go from there.

Just so I'm clear, when you say "23T1" do you mean the Yamaha SHO prop? and "24p Bravo" is the Mercury 4 blade "Bravo 1 prop" ? I'm asking because normally the 4 blade would be 1" or 2" lower pitch....Thanks

Yes 23T1 is the SHO prop and 24p Bravo is Mercs 4 blade bravo. The Bravo line of props runs very easy and usually need to pitch up from current prop to keep rpms the same.

Thanks Randy....Josh from Skeeter also replied, says that hull/motor combination is always shipped with 23 SHO so I'll probably go with that or maybe your Merc 4 blade 24p. My last Skeeter a few years ago had a 4 blade and I found it really good for the heavy traffic areas where I often boat. It was very smooth and easy to keep on top at low rpm in rough water.

Mine came with a 23T2 15 1/8. I had a lot of trouble with the bow of the boat porpoising in rough water so I had the jack plate lowered one dot from the factory.

Mine is mounted in the third hole from the top and it was 7 dots when I bought it. Originally I got almost 6000 rpm at wot and close to 70 last spring. It was a bear to drive in rough water so had the dealer lower the Jack plate to 6 dots. It runs much better in rough water now. Lost a little speed and rpm but I would rather have the handling. Funny thing is my brother has a 2011 model. His has a 25T1 prop mounted at 5 dots and it also has the wedges between the plate and motor. His boat handles way better in rough water than mine and isn't that much slower.

thanx, that info helps me. Your brothers' 2011 with 25t1 was probably an HPDI motor, not the SHO, right?
