    Mounting location for Pole switch

Any suggestions on best place to mount the hardwire power pole switch. pros/cons. I've seen them all over. I'll have the foot switches up front. Thanks

I have Lowrance Carbon units and they Bluetooth to the power poles. A quick touch of the side bar will open the screen for the poles, thus eliminating the need for mounting the small wireless remote.

Whatever you do, mount it on a vertical surface. I mounted one below the shifter on the flat area laying flat. While on Lake Erie in the rough water, the switch got water in it, shorted out and deployed the poles at 35mph. One survived and snapped the pole off the other. Not a manufacture issue, my mistake. It is now mounted vertically by shifter. No more problems.
