Precision Sonar Single Mount or Bass Boat Tech for 2011 721?

Just bought some new Gen 1 Helix 12s to upgrade my 1198 and 1157. Interested in a new mouont for the console like the Precision Sonar Smart Bracket or the one from Bass Boat Tech, or maybe something else. Need it for a single unit 5" Big Gauge Shroud. Your experience with any of these products would be excellent. Also, do any of these vendors offer a BBC discount?

    thx

I am putting BBT on my 2012 with a 12" Solix unit on the dash. I assume the gauges will be covered some.

I have the BBT mounts on the console and bow. With your 2012, they will not cover your gauges unless you decided to run two units, just make sure your purchasing the correct size single mount for 5" gauges.

Great quality, and great customer service...

Very good to hear. Thanks for the input I actually just bought the boat and it is at the marina getting a new Ultrex and 3 new Humminbird units put on. All using BBT mounts. This is going to be a LONG winter for me

Great! You'll really like the BBT mounts. Post up some pictures when you get it all completed.

Will do. They are telling me they won't have my new units until late January so it won't be for a while. This is a big upgrade from my TZX-190, I am really psyched! My wife is looking forward to the smooth ride. Lake St.Clair gets really bumpy in a 18 & 1/2 footer.

I went with the precision sonar mount for dual carbon 12’s on my 09 721 with 5” gauges. It’s built super tough and the customer service is second to none.

I've had the BBT mount on my 721 for almost 6 years, rock solid and is supported under the unit. I fish Toledo, Rayburn and Conroe, they can be a little rough at times!

Contact Van and have a chat with him, you won't be disappointed.

Precision Sonar. Great people and I can grab my mount and shake it as hard as I can rocking the boat on the trailer and my Helix still won't move. If that doesn't say something, I don't know what will..

I ended up buying the Dek-It Single Dash Mount and the Dek-It Support Bracket for Phoenix Boats. The support bracket takes a while to install, but once installed its an absolute beast of a mount when bolted to the 2 'stringers' inside the dash. I definitely feel like this is the better option for Great Lakes fishing.

BBT - I have two mounts, one on the console for my HDS 12 and one on the bow for an HDS9. Great solid mounts and Vann is great to work with! Great quality units.

I went with a precision sonar smartbracket mount for a Helix 12 at the console and a BBT dual stack wedge mount for Helix 9's at the bow. Both brands are solid and very well built. For the bow I made a back plate out of .25" aluminum for more support for the bow shroud. The Precision sonar bracket came with the support plate. You cant go wrong with either.

Hands down the precision sonar bracket, I have a 721 and just switched from a single to a double at the console, so I have the single available.

A few weeks to late for me, good for Precision Sonar but bad for me!
