    Texas State Record Meanmouth

    I have caught a few of these around home, but nothing more than a pound or 2. I can't imagine what it would be like to catch one 6Lb or bigger. He caught it out of Ray Roberts. Is that lake a deep clear reservoir?

    A guy here at Ivie caught one over 7lbs a few years ago, he weighed it and went and found mutual friend that as on the lake to weigh it and take a pic. He should have turned it in but turned it loose.

    a Friend of mine caught one at ray Roberts in the Spring ( I believe) and is as the state record until it was broken by the guy in the link.

    Ivie has spotted bass in it? I have never caught a spot on Ivie.

    Who said anything about spotted bass? Walker caught a 7.2 meanmouth a couple summers ago and friend of mine and Grumpy weighed it and took a pic on the lake.

    I believe your right. In some cases a smallie can cross with a largemouth.

    I agree. I have caught a couple of small ones in the past but to be honest I don't even remember what lake I was on. Prolly Ivie. I do remember looking at them and thinking they were a cross of small and large mouth.
