    Trailer step

Working on setting up my new to me 2014 119. I just added a trick set but I was looking for a platform single step for the opposite side of the trailer.( I fish a lot of really shallow launches where the back tires of the truck are wet and you need to be able to step to the trailer from the dock)
Anyone know if Ranger makes their fiberglass step to go on the “other” side? Anyone found aftermarket product they like? The one I had on my last boat is no longer made. Thanks fellas

Ranger has in the past made a Port side step, call Ranger and ask. The Ranger step will ned brackets welded to the frame I think.

I had this made. You could just reverse it to work for the other side.

I already installed a trick step (and love it) but I’m looking for a port side step also.

I talked to ranger and they don’t specifically make a step for the port side and I understand why it’s not popular. He did say they make a “kidney” step which is essentially the first step of their boarding ladder sold in a bolt on version. (But sits 8” above the frame)

For you that have the factory fiberglass step on the starboard side, is there any reason this couldn’t be flipped to the other side? Ranger parts was saying they can build it in a bolt on version but it’s for the starboard side... just not sure what is different.

Can be installed on either side. Size the box for a step up or just for a winch standing platform.

My intent was to store my spare hub/tools/etc in it but I frequent allot of low use salwater ramps during the week and that would be a freebie for thieves. I just leave it unlocked.

when getting out of boat after putting on trailer. Usually stepped on trailer but have slipped.
so did this for better footing
I haven't used yet had two hip surgeies right after I installed it.
If it winds up being low I can flip the bracket to top position

I have a question, are these Trick steps mainly installed to connect winch strap when loading?

I would say both, works good for getting in and out of the boat either on pavement or at the water. Very stable all around access point.
