    Heavy jigs are great when a big profile and fast rate of fall is needed. There are many jigs made that excel in really heavy cover, it the hack attack jig is my favorite for that application. If I’m fishing bushes, grass, etc in more than 2’ of water, I pitch a 3/4-1oz hack attack. I like a fast fall rate as you can cover water more efficiently imo.

    I have 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, and 1 1/4 I think. Just don't fish jigs much anymore. But if I want to try and get it down in heavy vegetation I go with a heavier one.

    1/2,3/4,1. Hardly ever go lighter, 1/2oz 90% of the time.
