Ultrex Issue - hope this has been covered

I was uncovering my boat today and noticed the blue light on... Power button was turned off. When I moved the power button to on, everything seemed to work normal. When I shut off the power, the light stayed on. I ended up shutting off all power to it when I put it back in storage. Switch issue? Thanks

Probably is a switch issue and needs to be fixed, however, you should disconnect this unit from battery power whenever you put the unit up for storage after a fishing trip. The control board, if connected to battery, will continue to draw even when the switches are off, eventually running the batteries down.

Yes, on a separate shut off in the back box. I normally leave everything on a charger when not in use. Thanks John.

I had the same issue . I brought it in for service and a new one was put in . There is another post on here with several people complaining of the same thing . If I wiggled the switch while in the off position it would turn on . So far the new switch hasn't acted up but it is only a couple months old .

My switch is doing the same thing now. My Ranger and the motor were purchased June 2017. Will it be covered under warranty? Is it a do it yourself fix if you order the part or do I need to find a Minn Kota shop?

It is still under warranty. Best to find a Minn Kota repair shop. Try to find proof of purchase. It has a 3 year warranty.
