Have an 04 xpress h51db with 03 Mercury 90hp and 22p powertech prop. It’s WOT max is 5500. I replaced a broken gauge with a new faria 7000 rpm gauge. It is reading 6000 plus at WOT. I contacted mercury and faria and I have the switch on the back set correctly. What could be the problem. I’m sure this thing is reading at least 500-700 rpm too high.
