    Ran across this 184 for sale

    Seems most of the money is for the upgraded Johnson FastStrike. $7K for this 1982 model but looks pretty cherry. Guy selling it is pretty anal/retentive. 184 is arguably one of the best hulls ever made. Video and details here:

    The FastStrike series are great engines.Their nearly bullet proof just like the Mercury EFI series.

    I think this motor is upgraded. Hopalong (Hops) is a really upright guy from my dealings with him in the past.

    Monty racing tweaked the motor, has an exhaust snout, low water pickup nose cone and electric fuel pump, probably close to 200 HP if not a tad over.
