SHO OIL CHANGE

Just bought a sho 200 and it has 140 hrs the guy said he changed it back about 5 months ago. can i look at it and see if it needs to be changed
or whats the recomendation

Yes sir, pull the dip stick and see what the oil looks like. If it looks clean than go on but if it looks black and dirty change it. A motor always loves fresh clean oil! Normal service is every hundred 100 hrs or annually. I change mine each fall unless I get to fish alot that year

I don’t even come close to 100 hours a year but I change it once a year regardless and will do it more if needed.

If you have any concern at all, go ahead and change it again so you know for sure the oil is fresh.

I change it ever 100 hours and it still looks good if you are doing it more than that you throwing your money away. I bet Yamaha love it when you guys do it

I know it says yearly, but if you only ran 10 hrs. Do you think the oil would be bad just sitting

No it wouldn’t be but I would change it anyways.
