    Shift/throttle linkage at powerhead

    Ok I'm a dummy, get that out of the way. 1983 mercury 150 SER. # 6431959.
    Ok so I pulled the powerhead to replace the gasket (s) associated with and the base plate. All that went fairly easy. Didn't pay attention when I disconnected the likage, didn't think to take picture with my phone either. The cable that slides in the bracket, there's two springs, one stays on the stud the other goes where? Doing this on my tablet and not sure how to upload a picture as my lap top to a dump.

    Does any one have an exploded diagram of this? I've tried to google it and can't find mine, two cables the top cable to throttle arm (?) Is straight forward.
    Again yes I made a dumb move diconnecting all of it instead of just the cable to arm and three bolts that hold the bracket to the power head.

    Ser # 6431959.

    Thanks in advance.

    The linkage is for the FNR cable that I'm speaking of. One spring one stud to the arm that goes to the front of the motor. The bottom square piece that slides in the bracket fell and there was also another spring there.

    Yes it does, wish I could've found that earlier. Now I need to order #38 as it broke.
    From looking at this, and thinking back at how clean the other spring was, it just happened to be laying on the shop floor. It matched # 36.
    @EuropeanAM thank you sir
