    And the outlawing begins.

No underwater camera's or the new Garmins allowed in this tourney.

What a bunch of crap. I can see anything I need to see on my vex, why isn't that illegal? I pull my sled around and squirt water on the ice and look right through it with the fl18. When I see fish, I stop and catch them. Must be a bunch of old farts putting that thing on.

I saw that over at iceshanty.com. Unbelievable
You still have to catch the fish and the technology is available to everyone..

Just a heads up, I guess humminbird doesn't recommend using the 360 for ice fishing, it's transducer isn't made to take freezing temps and can damage it.

Haha I'm sure my hydrowave speaker isn't either, that's why you leave it in the water or in a shelter till it's in the truck that is heated up.

I was one of the people that tested that theory and it does not like cold especially the first gen models that tended to have a leaking problem.

I was just pointing out that they used specific brands in the rules not the technology itself which in my eyes would be a fun loop hole.

Not gonna lie that’s a pretty specific thing they are outlawing. The overall gist of it should be no underwater cameras or pan optix. People will still use marcum and fishTV then argue that since it’s not an aquavu they are legal. I don’t really see any advantage of using the camera over a vexilar besides identifying fish first. Sonars are easier to make out fish, the size of fish, and you can see the whole water column rather than a 5’ window.
