all things equal Puma but not by much if both are light load and good drivers. I would think the Puma is a 82-83, 920 will be 81-82 loaded down both are in the high 70's depending on load

I owned a 2009 Puma with a 250 Pro XS on it until September. I was able to get 80.6 on a cool morning with a little tailwind. That was with a 260# partner, our fishing gear, and 26 gal of gas. We were pleasure fishing that morning so we didn't have a bunch of gear in the boat.

I now have a 2014 Pheonix 721 ProXP with a 250 Etech. It will run very similiar, if not exact numbers, as the 920. The best I have got out of it was this past Friday in a "Black Friday" tournament, I got it up to 75 mph with me and my 240# brother, 50 gal. gas, and our fishing gear. Temp was in the low 50's and calm.

I've owned two Bullets and have run in the upper 80's, so I am pretty experienced at getting the best out of a hull. In my opinion, the Puma will out run the 920 by 4-5 mph every day.

As a matter of fact, I told my brother I will eventually get back in a Bass Cat. Eyra next time for me!!

the link below shows a 20 PHX at about 82 and the 20 PHX is usually about 1-2 MPH slower then the 920

The driver makes a big difference

I can go back through the history and show lots of 920's running these numbers with mercury and sho. My 921 with a 250 sho not turned up would do 75 with stock prop

SO I NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT HIS BEING TURN UP OR NOT. I SAID THEIR ARE LOTS OF 920'S THAT CAN RUN IN THE 80'S WITHOUT BEING TURNED UP. I NEVER SAID A 920 COULD OUT RUN A PUMA. I SAID MY 21'6" 921 WITH A SHO NOT TURNED UP COULD HIT 75 PLUS SO IF IT CAN HIT 75 THEN THE 920 CAN EASILY HIT 80 MPH I AM SORRY YOU GOT YOUR FEELING HURT BUT A 920 IS A FAST BOAT JUST NOT AS FAST AS A PUMA

Not jealous, just stating facts, and 80 is not fast.

Personal best 96.4 250xs with recent flash and no troller

Personal best Stock (pre dbr flash (20hp) and with troller) was only 93.7

The puma will be faster but by no more than 5mph if loaded equally with good drivers.
