New to me 17 Puma ftd (proof for bassman and cajunhunter) lol

Heres some shots and a initial comparison going from a 16 caracal to a puma hull. I loved the caracal but I wanted some low speed lift, I'm up and out of the water at speeds as slow as 32 mph in the puma I saw a increase in fuel mpg, went from 3.8 in the caracal to 4.2-4.3 in the puma. The puma seems easier steering and more nimble. Drastically different rides. Fishing the caracal is amazingly stable. I've already almost went once swimming per the puma lol. Its going to take some getting used to. I will miss my day box but the stowage is the puma is vast and the net box in the middle seems functional. I liked the cougar I test drove a while back alot and it led me to branch out looking at other models. I had my heart set on a eyra but I just could not leave this one, had to bring it home. It only had 23 hours and looked like it never saw water. Will have to learn how to drive this one more than the caracal, I've seen 73 and the 25p 3 blade has plenty of lift and alot more rpm.

I ran 3 different props on the caracal. With a single pole, atlas plate, 4 batteries, 225 pro xs. 33/10 gallon fuel tanks. Hole shot was poor with the 25-3 blade. I went to two 24p fury props, the 3 blade would run about 73, and the 4 blade would run 69-71 @5775 or so. It was the perfect prop on that rig, in terms of lift, hole shot, and handling.

Haha, Its funny, when I got the Caracal I probably got 40 new facebook friends all in bass cats, most with that model. Maybe that will happen with the puma! lol

Beautiful Cat. I love mine. I was running a 26 Fury 3 and went to a 25 Fury 4. Not worked but I love the results of lift and hole shot.
    Enjoy!!
    Thanks
