Reel Valueand Rod Combo

I have my Dad's old Ted WIlliams reel from Sears with a matching lightweight casting rod. Can anyone tell me where I might go to find the value of this combo. I also have the original leather rod case.

I recall his buying it about 60 years ago and catching an 8 lb largemouth from a resort in Green Cove Springs.

Sears put out a TON of Ted Williams branded merchandise, everything from shotguns to jonboats to coffee pots. Look on EBay, the bulk of the Ted reels are priced $15-$40. Theres a couple of rod/reel combos that look like they might fit your Dad’s time frame going for $69.95 buy it now.

There are a couple of Ted reels in the $200-$350 range, but they look like 1970’s era casting reels. Unless you have something unique that a Ted collector just has to have, your value is likely more sentimental than financial.
