    Beeping Noise

    Hello All. I have a 2002 Mercury XR6 Motor. Recently I have noticed a long continuous beep when the motor is running. The motor is still peeing water at its normal flow while the alarm is going off. I had the impeller changed about 5-6 years ago. Could the impeller be going bad again? Thanks for you help.

    Water pump is past due and the FIRST place to start. Suspect your engine is 2.5L (dedicated forum directly below this one) and should post there with any additional questions. If you do, be sure to provide your engine serial number.
