    Prop advice

Have a 2017 250 SHO on a 215 Falcon, have a 24p Scorpion propeller the problem is I only get 5,200 rpm at top speed. With trim and jack plate just right I get 70 with full load. I looked at the Yamaha website prop advice and they recommend a Lightning 19p. Should I consider getting anouther prop? Anyone have a Lightning prop?

Are you sure those RPM are @70 MPH? Seems impossible as that would put your prop slip at -3.65%. If that is what your gauge is showing, then I think you RPM gauge is off.

Where at the Yamaha website do you see their recommendation that a Lightning 19" propeller be used? I can't find it.

Your hull is a bit heavier than my Basscat Puma and I turn a 26 SHO. 25 SHO would be my choice for a big Faclon.

Scorpion props run very tall on pitch... that 24 runs like a 26 or higher. I’d try a 23 or 24 pitch SHO prop.

That Falcon is a nice boat - the numbers you were posting didn't make much sense to me until I read Clayshooters post - I don't know much about the Scorpion props but that would make perfect senses as to why you can't spin it.

If you are looking for a new prop I would highly recommend a Fury 4 25p. I tried a bunch and this prop has been outstanding on my SHO. If you are flashed then go to the 26.

Boat set up can be tricky some times. My buddy has same hull, motor and prop. He runs 70-72 at 5800ish with two peeps. Im maybe convinced that your motor is not getting WOT. I wouldnt bother with the furys we have run the 4 blades, with little sucess. You rocking a hydro plate?. Also I got a 25 T1 for sale, send me a pm about it if you are interested.

My stock fury 4 ran faster than my T1 worked by Croxton - but regardless you just have to find out what your boat likes.
